“We have completed the purchase of Sergey Shishkarev’s stake in Delo Group. From this moment, we are beginning the final consolidation of all of Rosatom’s logistics assets, which will result in the creation of the largest national logistics company,” the head of Rosatom said.

According to him, the state corporation’s strategic goals are to strengthen transport sovereignty, ensure resilient international transportation, and develop the Northern Sea Route and the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor.
Establishing a common management center for Delo Group, FESCO and Rosatom’s other transport assets will make it possible to build a unified multimodal logistics system covering road, rail and sea transportation, ports, freight forwarding and seamless service, Alexey Likhachev noted. Moreover, consolidating the assets will eliminate duplicate investments, saving up to 100 billion rubles over the next 10 years.

Rosatom’s logistics division is the national leader in its segment, with a 50% share of the container handling market and 44% of the rail container transportation market, as well as the country’s largest container fleet. It also owns port facilities in Vladivostok, Kaliningrad, Novorossiysk, St. Petersburg and Nakhodka.

As a result of the deal, Rosatom’s logistics business has entered the top 15 transport operators of BRICS countries, a ranking that includes companies from China, India, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. The next goal, according to Alexey Likhachev, is to break into the top five through further development of international maritime logistics. The state corporation intends to achieve this both on its own and with the help of international partners.

In August of this year, the Government Commission for Control over Foreign Investment approved the deal between Rosatom and DP World (UAE) to set up a joint venture. All legal procedures are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
